Investigator: Casey Anthony’s attorney said client killed daughter

Nearly five years ago, Casey Anthony was acquitted of killing her two-year-old daughter, Caylee.

But the case continues to stir up controversy.

The latest bombshell comes from private investigator Dominic Casey, who says one of Anthony’s attorney’s, Jose Baez, stated the mother had, in fact, committed the crime.

Casey claims Baez “had told me that Casey had murdered Caylee and dumped the body somewhere.”

In an affidavit filed in a bankruptcy case involving Casey Anthony last month, a document shows Baez’s alleged statement was made 11 days after Anthony’s mother reported her granddaughter missing.

Baez calls those statements “100 percent false” and also categorically denies having a sexual relationship with Anthony.

He also says after meeting with the private investigator, he decided not to work with him.

Baez added that this isn’t the first time the investigator has made so-called ridiculous claims, so this one shouldn’t be taken seriously.

In the past, he’s apparently said the missing 2-year old was kidnapped by drug traffickers and sold to slavery in South America.
