RT (formerly Russia Today) is a Russian international television network funded by the Russian government. It operates cable and satellite television channels directed to audiences outside of Russia, as well as providing Internet content in various languages, including English and Russian.
With its first international news channel launched in December 2005, RT television network now consists of three round-the-clock news channels broadcasting in English, Arabic and Spanish, a documentary channel RTDoc airing in both English and Russian, a video news agency RUPTLY, as well as online news platforms in Russian, German, and French. RT America channel airs from a Washington, DC studio while RT UK broadcasts from London. Today, RT is available to 700 million people in more than 100 countries spanning 5 continents.
